Below is an educational video we recorded during a recent October visit to our plantations in Paraguay. You will see:
I highly recommend watching this video as it gives an excellent impression of our end-to-end farming operation and the opportunities offered to investors.
We’re pleased to announce that the Agri Terra Group acquired 90% of Frutana, a medium-sized manufacturer of freshly squeezed orange juice and frozen fruit supplies.
The lock-down scenarios during the Covid crisis had unduly hurt Frutana. Against the backdrop of an uncertain future, they began to look for a strategic partner and quickly reached a commercial agreement with dream partner Agri Terra.
The Frutana brand has had an excellent reputation in Paraguay for the past 20 years. They supply many hotels and restaurants in Asuncion and, above all, international fast-food chains such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Burger King throughout Paraguay. They also supply various gas station chains.
The existing owners will retain 10% of the shares, while company founder Jorge Maciel will continue as managing director. This ensures the expertise, know-how, and, above all, the personal customer relationships grown over two decades are retained.
The synergy effects and benefits to Agri Terra and our orange plantation investors should be apparent. Frutana is a familiar established brand, and this takeover gives us immediate access to important customers for the direct sale of our freshly harvested oranges. It broadens our vertical integration at every level of the citrus food value chain.
Thank you again for your interest in our agriculture opportunities. Don’t hesitate to contact us for the latest availability and pricing of our orange lots and hydroponic strawberry greenhouses.
Stay safe and well.
