Earlier this month we attended The Seattle Money Show for the first time. While the attendees, presenters and exhibitors at this event are normally more biased towards financial market products, we were pleasantly surprised with the popularity of our exhibit and the many interesting attendees we spoke too.
It’s clear that in the current volatile stock market climate, more and more investors are interested in relatively safe, hard asset backed opportunities that will generate passive long term income. We like to thank anyone who took the time to come and visit our exhibit. We’re planning to attend the next MoneyShow in Dalles in October as well.
Eight greenhouses have now arrived on-site in Paraguay and construction has begun. This means that before the end of the year the first freshly produced vegetables should already be for sale in stores across Asunción. We expect another eight greenhouses on-site by the end of July.
We posted a detailed special report about our vegetable greenhouse project on our blog and Facebook page earlier this month. It’s well worth reading and includes a status update, an impact analysis of the new economies of scale on the projected investor returns and the latest stress test figures. You can read the full report here.
The exiting news from our La Colmena plantation is that the first large scale harvest of oranges is approaching. As you’ll notice from the pictures below, the fruits on these 4 year old trees are bright orange and ready to be harvested.
In the last update we also mentioned a new opportunity to invest in growing limes and lemons on our Nueva Italia plantation in Paraguay. The success was so overwhelming that the limited available lots sold out in no time (and even too quickly for us to update our own marketing materials for our recent events).
For anyone still wanting to diversify from our orange offering, we have a few lots of tangerines available (from $17,500). We’ve not produced a separate brochure for these since it’s very limited availability, so please contact your sales advisor directly if you’d like to see the ROI sheets on those.
In August we’ll be taking delivery of another 155,000 assorted citrus saplings which we will be planted starting in September.
We like to thank everyone who’s already confirmed that they’ll be joining our next Tour from August 15-19th (the invite of which we sent out last week). There’re only a few spaces left, so please contact us as soon as possible if you’d like to come and see our orange plantations and greenhouses project in Paraguay first hand.
If those dates don’t work for you, then please feel free to contact us with some alternative dates which would suit you and we will try and accommodate those with one of our future tour dates.
We’re pleased to attend this year’s FreedomFest again at the Paris Resort in Las Vegas from July 17 – 20th. This is always a very interesting event and we’re looking forward to meeting up with quite a few of our clients who attend this annual event.
Please come by and say hello at our booth #303 if you’re attending (we will be having our usual raffle again to win a free trip to Paraguay). We’ll also host a breakout session presentation, with refreshments and snacks, on Thursday July 18th at 3:10PM in the Chablis Meeting Room. If you’d like to reserve a seat for the breakout session in advance, please contact us or sign-up at our booth #303.
While we will keep sending updates like these at least once every two months, we’re planning to use our Facebook page to post quick updates on a more regular basis (e.g. photos of the new greenhouses under construction or special lot offers). So in case you use Facebook and don’t follow us yet, now may be a good time to do so 🙂
Thank you again for your interest in our agriculture opportunities. As always, don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.
