July 2022 Orange & Greenhouse Plantations Summer Update

This summer, we’re doing a significant expansion and upgrade of the infrastructure of the plantations. We’re focussing on staff quarters, offices, roads (including culverts) and water reservoirs. In addition, we’ve expanded the number of staff to include a new greenhouse manager with many years of experience in Europe and Latin America in traditional and hydroponic greenhouse technologies and operations.

All vegetable greenhouse owners should now have access to a shared system that allows them to track the status and production of their greenhouses. We’re also preparing to install a camera system enabling each owner to view their greenhouse in real-time.

On our La Colmena plantation, we’re continuously harvesting our citrus trees, with our Ruby oranges and Tahiti lemons part of the latest harvests.

On our Nueva Italia I plantation, we’re completing the final vegetable greenhouses while harvesting and re-planting tomatoes and peppers in the operational ones.

On the Nueva Italia II plantation, more citrus trees are scheduled to be planted.
